Wednesday morning was interesting, we did 3 interviews. The first one was a shambles as it was a 1st for both of us, then I swapped partners and we visited an old lady she knew anyway, as a local housing officer. I got the pectolase, and used the trip to drop a Herman culture off to Julia, 2 jobs done! Last weekend was quite quiet, apart from finding out that Doreen's sister isn't talking to her and hasn't been since their trip to Australia last year. On Friday morning Mum and Dad came over and we went to Poppleton Railway nursery, which was quite interesting. It was the nursery which provided all the plants and flowers for the LNER's hotels and stations, which has recently been re-opened as a charitable community nursery and oddly I knew more about then Dad. The rain on Sunday didn't help with the beer sales, so we now have 2 half barrels we'll have to drink before it goes stale. Life is hard sometimes. With Bar sales, donations and platform tickets I've banked about £2,000 today, so that'll pay for the new engine for the flail mower ( Read more... )
